
So if you know me, you’d know I hate tomatoes with a passion…seriously. I never ate a tomato until last year when Michelle forced me to eat one by cooking me an all tomato meal when I first visited her in Indy. Well, let’s be honest, I ate them a few times after that for her, but I still hate them with a passion.
The smell, the texture…it honestly makes me squirm.
Luckily for me, I love red peppers and I’ve recently come to learn that they are in fact better for you than tomatoes.
Red peppers have 2/3 the amount of calories, 2/3 the sodium, NO sugar, and more vitamin A, C, and Iron.
Tomatoes do have their added benefits, I’m not saying they’re bad…but if you’re like me and you HATE tomatoes or even if you get heart burn from them, just substitute them with Red Peppers.
Besides, tomatoes are confusing…are they a fruit or a vegetable? Figure it already yo!
